

Sheila Glen Kinder, fun-loving wife, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away peacefully June 5, 2015 at her home in Olathe, KS surrounded by loved ones. She was 58 years old, born August 14, 1956.
Sheila graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1974. Soon after that she met the love of her life, Ron Kinder. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past November. Sheila was a Certified Professional Public Buyer for the Shawnee Mission School District and retired from there after 23 years of service. To help keep her busy during retired life she got a part time cashier's position at the Price Chopper in Olathe, KS. Sheila was a very crafty lady and loved to make horse hair jewelry as well as go horseback riding, camping, cook & travel with her husband, family & friends. She loved to watch the humming birds at her & her husband's home- which she personally designed and decorated- near Lake Olathe.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Patterson and her older brother, Ron Patterson.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Kinder; mother, Delores Leonard; sister, Cindy Black and her husband James Black; their 4 children Amanda Barnes, Austin Black, Ashley Black & Madisen Black; a niece & nephew from her older brother Ron, Chad Patterson & Jessica Patterson- Tuono; and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, as well as friends.
A visitation will begin at 5pm followed by a memorial service at 6pm Friday, June 12th at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home located at 105 E. Loula Street in Olathe, KS. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Grace Hospice, friends and family who have been with her through her courageous battle. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Grace Hospice in Kansas City. Arrangements under the direction of McGilley & Frye Funeral Home.
