Zada Lou Stewart, 69, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 6-8 pm and funeral services will be on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 8:00 am, both at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Zada was born March 6, 1947 in Gruetli, Tennessee. She was a loving wife, mom and nana. She was a great caregiver and took great pride in caring for her family. Zada enjoyed rock-n-roll music, traveling, eating seafood and taking long walks on the beach. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Stewart, her father John Taylor and her mother Sally LaFevers. Zada is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Jesse Barron, in addition to her four step children Michael Stewart, Patricia Piecewicz, Kevin Stewart and Cathy Spezio. She is also survived by her brother John Taylor, her two sisters Jean Addison and Joy Scena, her three grandchildren Jessica Mayoral, Justin Barron and Joshua Barron, and her great-grandson Eli Bouknight. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran’s Administration or the American Diabetes Association.
