

Her passing came one week after her 55th wedding anniversary and three weeks before her 81st birthday.
A native of Montreal, Canada, the former Bernice Dansky married Marvin (Marty) Duskin in 1957 in his hometown of Staten Island, NY. They later lived in West New York, N.J., before moving to Howell in 1987 with their son George. In 1999, George died in an automobile accident in Howell. To honor him, Mr. & Mrs. Duskin established the George Duskin Memorial Scholarship at Howell High School for five years following his death.
Mrs. Duskin and her husband became volunteers for and supporters of Big Brother & Big Sisters of Monmouth County. At various times, she also served as a volunteer for the Howell Food Pantry, the Howell Chamber of Commerce, the Centra State Medical Center, Freehold, and the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan. She was a member of Congregation Ahavat Olam in Howell.
Mrs. Duskin had worked for 25 years as a bookkeeper and office manager in Montreal, New York City and in New Jersey. She was fond of opera, the theatre, antiquing and travel. She and her husband loved animals, especially dogs, which were a big part of their life together.
