

James Grady, 66, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jim had moved to Old Bridge in 1973. A finance broker for over 35 years, Jim had worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert, in Manhattan, and Datek, in Iselin, retiring in 2002. He was a proud US Army veteran of the Vietnam War; a member of the VFW; a parishioner, usher, eucharistic minister, and member of the Holy Name Society of Most Holy Redeemer Church; and he loved fishing, crabbing, painting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Helen Grady, and his brother, Edward Grady. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Grady; his son and daughter in law, Christopher & Sarah Grady; his granddaughter, Eva Clementine; his grandson, Samuel James; his sister in law, Cathy Sweeney, and her husband, Larry; his nephew, Terry Sweeney, and his wife, Jess; his niece, Jen Hannigan, and her husband, John; his niece, Carolyn Hummel, and her husband, Brian; and his 12 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11am at Most Holy Redeemer Church, 133 Amboy Road, Matawan. Cremation will be private.
