Rosalia Rodriguez

Rosalia Rodriguez, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, Rosalia lived in Bronx, NY before moving to Hoboken 50 years ago. She was a former president of the Sisters of Mary; she loved baseball & softball, and was a captain of her softball team, she loved watching wrestling and enjoyed sewing. Rosalia was predeceased by her husband, Felix Rodriguez Velez, and her brother, Rafael Vargas. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Rosa Elvira & George Louis Diaz Jr.; her daughter and son in law, Annie & Robert Grillo; her son, Felix H. Rodriguez; her grandchildren, Geanna, Gabriel, Christian, & Lexi; her brothers, Manuel, Benjamin, Ramon, & Esteban Vargas; and her sister, Maria Victoria Vargas. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:30am at St. Ambrose Church, 96 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, NJ. Cremation will be private. In Lieu of Flowers donations in memory of Rosalia can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Make A Wish Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
