Betty Anne Ramsey

Ramsey, Mrs. Betty Anne Day age 85 Hermitage, TN. passed away March 3, 2014. Preceded in death by husband, Dr. Wallace Zane Ramsey, parents, Mary Lizzie Ehrhardt Day & Farley V. Day; & brothers, Marvin Edwin Day, Cleo V. Day. Survived by son, Robert Winston (Tammy) Ramsey; daughter, Malissa Anne (Ken) Groneck; granddaughter, Leslie Michele Groneck.

Born October 15, 1928, outside of Huntsville, MO, Betty grew up on a humble depression-era farm and always accepted and made the best of change. Betty married a young one-room school teacher who became a college professor and moved from Normal, IL, to Lafayette, IN to Lexington, KY, to St Louis, MO, to Green Valley, AZ and finally Nashville, TN.

Betty was truly a giving, loving and caring person to all who had the gift of knowing her. She touched so many lives in so many ways. She loved and was loved by many including Shalom Seekers Sunday School Class and cherished close friends. Betty’s family is grateful for the kindness and care provided by the wonderful staff at McKendree Village where she made her home for the past 13 years.

Memorial Service at McKendree Village Chapel on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:30 am at Hermitage United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Black officiating with visitation one hour prior to service. Entombment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
