Betty Sue Wooden Wilson, age 90. A very kind and giving soul passed on January 12,2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on February 26, 1929, Betty grew up in the Black Fox community, outside of Cleveland, TN. After graduating with honors from Bradley County High School, she attended David Lipscomb College on a full scholarship. It was there that she met and married Cliff Wilson in 1949. Betty was employed by Guaranty Mortgage Company and later as secretary for Lebanon Road Church of Christ, where she also worshipped until her condition progressed. She also was active with volunteer work at the church and at Donelson Hospital. A gentle and generous woman, she was greatly loved and admired by family and friends. She is preceded in death by husband, Cliff Wilson, parents, Frankie Bell and Robert Wooden, brother, Francis Wooden, brother, Clarence Wooden and Sister, Louise Cash. Survived by daughter Lynn Beller (Jim), son, Larry Wilson (Diane), grandchildren, Patrick Beller, Kimberly Bagwell (Nick), Matt Wilson, and Devon Wilson, as well as great-grandchildren Lukas Bagwell, Sean Bagwell, Ethan Gerald, and Clark Blanton. The family would like to thank the staff of Maristone at Providence for the care and kindness shown to Betty during her final years.
Gathering of family and friends Thursday January 16th, from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
