Deborah Lou Haynes, a beloved and cherished individual, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on January 27, 1957, in Birmingham, Alabama, she was a compassionate, devoted, and gentle soul who touched the lives of many. Debby, as she was affectionately known, grew up in Hermitage, Tennessee, and graduated from DuPont High School in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
Debby worked as a printer for Fiserv Solutions, LLC for most of her career, where she held a leadership role and was known for being hard-working and kind-hearted. Her professional life was marked by her thoughtful and diligent nature.
She was married to Douglas Paul Haynes for thirty-three years, and together they enjoyed regular family trips to the beach, creating cherished memories. Debby loved to be at home surrounded by her family, children, and grandchildren, where her compassionate and thoughtful spirit truly shone.
Debby is survived by her husband, Douglas Paul Haynes; her daughter, Kasey Lee Clifton (Ricky); her granddaughter, Amy Michelle Clifton; her grandson, Terry Kain Clifton; her great-grandson, Elijah Mac Hall; her brother, Rick Mathias (Michelle); her sister, Laurie Mathias (Ron); and her sister, Kathy Mathias. She was predeceased by her parents, Chet Mathias and Norma Cattaneo Mathias; her brothers, Tommy Mathias and Chester Mathias; and her son, Terry Lee Mathis, Jr.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on January 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home, Rachel Visitation Room. Following this, a Celebration of Debby's Life will take place at 2:00 pm in the Tulip Grove Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Jud Hays officiating. Following the service, Debby will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
