

Virginia was born in Atlanta on December 2, 1937 to the late Lucy Kate and Marcus Holt Woodham, Sr. She was the beloved sister of Mark and Rick Woodham.
She was a natural musician; playing piano for the Jonesboro Baptist Church. She was also in the Jonesboro High School Marching band and played oboe in the high school orchestra. She attended Georgia State University, loving her school life and her sorority sisters.
After college, she married the love of her life, James (Jim) Freeman on October 16, 1964. A longtime resident of Nashville, she was co-owner of Sylvan Park Antiques.
She is survived by her husband James (Jim) Freeman; beloved dog, “Foxy”; children; Debbie Duke (Lance), Brad Freeman, Wendy Bradford (Scott) and Tracy Young (Tony); grandchildren, Stanton and Lara Bradford and Kailey, Tony, Ashley and Andre Young; granddaughter-in-law, Shona Bradford; great grand children, Kyra and Riley Bradford.
Visitation with the family will be today, December 3, 2013 from 4pm until 8pm and 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A Funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Hermitage Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
