Emma Hubbard, 83 of Hermitage passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday March 15, 2023. Emma was born in Grant County Kentucky on January 21, 1940 to Charlie and Esthel Henry. Emma spent here early yeas in Grant Co. and graduated from Grant County High School. Emma and Gene were married in 1959 and shortly afterwards moved to Donelson, TN before moving to Hermitage Tn. She was a member of the Tulip Grove Baptist Church and was their first church secretary. Emma had many passions including crocheting, sewing, floral and vegetable gardening, but nothing as important as her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and took pride in her home. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting family and friends.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Esthel Henry. Emma is survived by her husband of 63 years; Gene Hubbard, son; Roger Hubbard, Daughter, Charlene Hubbard, grandchildren: Richard Lee (Lilly) Houston, Dustin Gene Chandler, Great grandchildren Ruth Houston and August Houston and a sister Katherine (Don) Jackson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday March 18, 2023 from 9:00Am until time of service at 11:00AM at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln. Old Hickory, TN with Rev. Todd Capps officiating. Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Unity Sunday School class, Tulip Grove Baptist Church.
