Harold D Taylor

Harold was born on December 17, 1934, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, to Iver Bernard Taylor and Susie Moise Taylor. He was a proud graduate of DuPont High School. He was a film editor at WTVF Channel 5 for over 40 years and very much enjoyed his career at the television station. He also enjoyed traveling, sports, and spending time with his family.

He was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. Previously he attended the Hermitage Church of Christ, and for many years he attended the Old Hickory Church of Christ where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Harold was preceded in death by Dolores Sutton Taylor, his wife of 60 years; his father, I.B.; his mother, Susie; and his brothers, Bobby, Harris, Ray, and David.

Harold is survived by his children, Vicki Taylor Kinkade (Scott) and Troy Taylor (Lori); his grandchildren, Josh (Jackie), Chandin (Jason), Conner (McKenna), and Jenna; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Parker, Kinley, Lincoln, and Colton; and several special nieces and nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
