He was born in Nashville to the late Hulon Floyd Sr. and Alma Bird Browning. Rocky followed in his father's foot steps and was a phenomenal frame and trim carpenter. His gifted hands have left a mark on many prestigious homes throughout middle Tennessee.
Rocky enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He had a smoker and would spend hours preparing the main course, usually pork or chicken, for everyone to enjoy. He held his seasoning recipe close to his heart and the flavor will be sadly missed.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors from an early age. Because he was a member of the boy scouts, it formed his love for the outdoors that lasted his entire life.
Rocky was an animal lover. He was a tender hearted man who could be brought to tears by small furry animals who were in need of a home or rescue.
Even though he had a nail pierce his eye in the 70's and could have lost his sight, he developed a love of painting. Although he needed a magnifying glass to paint, he was meticulous and creative. The smallest detail was always important to him.
He was a man of few words, but when someone needed him it was usually not words they were looking for, but a helping hand or shoulder to lean on. Rocky is a man who was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his six children, Ginny Lea Mooney and her husband, Danny, Hulon Browning III, Frank Browning, John Browning, Janie Suann Sanford and her husband, Sam, and Dwaine Braswell and his wife, Kelly; seven grandchildren, Holly, Noah, Bridgette, Kendall, Ella, Reese, and Miles; four siblings, Bobby Browning, Vickie Holland and her husband, Tommy, Debbie Young, and Tim Browning and his wife, Kim; numerous extended family members and friends.
