James Doyle Campbell Sr.

James was a Sabbath keeper and was employed 38 years for the same medical center before and after it became TriStar Skyline Madison Campus.

James has two biological children, Tammy Campbell Maynard, and James Doyle Campbell Jr., four children- by-law, Arom, Simon, Amos, and Jaben Campbell; six grandchildren Amanda, Micheal, Tasha, Adena, Cheyenne, and Arabella Ann; ten great-grandchildren, Austin, Bryson, Kiley, Raylen, Shelby, Kingston, Aubrie, Lawson, Kamden, and Tucker; one step-grandson Adam; 1 step-great-grandson Aiden; one tummy baby; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

James enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Richard Petty fan. He liked to play golf and go fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was Predeceased by his father, Vernon Gaston Campbell, his mother Reba Jane Leek, and his brothers Lonnie, Roy, Billy, and William Campbell.

He is survived by his wife Mildred Carter Campbell, his brother Buster Campbell, his 6 children, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, step grandchild, step great grandchild, his 2 sisters-in-law, and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on October 24th, 2021 in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home from 11am to 12pm. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
