Gaither James William Jr,"Jim" age 78 passed away July 7, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, James & Lena Gaither; wife & mother of children, Charlene Gaither; granddaughter Michelle. Survived by loving wife Betty Butler O’Rear Gaither; children, Bob (Ginger) Gaither, Carol (Steve) Webster, Randy Gaither, Ricky Gaither; grandchildren Lindsey, Taylor, Jessica & Donna; brother, John (Dorthea) Gaither; 3 stepchildren, 10 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild & beloved canine companions, Katie & Cora. Jim attended Ole Miss on a football scholarship receiving a BA in business admin; he also served in the Army as a radio operator. Jim was an avid Predators and Atlanta Braves fan and was a Ham radio operator for 70 years. He was a member of Donelson Kiwanis Club. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Hermitage Memorial Chapel. Visitation with family will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 4-8 pm and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
