James Elwin Sweeney, age 67 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away Sept. 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rita Sweeney; daughter, Jamie Bruce (Gary); 5 grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Bedingfield (Ralph).
Jim worked as an Engineer and retired from Bell South Telephone Company. He was a member and PM of McWhirtersville Lodge #375.
A Celebration of Life Masonic Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Dr. Pat Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family & Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Tuesday and 12-2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
