Janice W. Stewart

Mrs. Stewart was a full-time homemaker but managed to work in various positions outside the home throughout the years. Above all her interests, she and her husband shared a passion for world missions.

Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her father, James Hoyte Walls; mother, Annie Pearl (Adams) Walls; brother, James H. Walls, Jr.; sister, Faye Phelps; brother, Johnny Walls; and Vee Hooper, her very best friend in life.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by Grady B. Stewart, her loving husband of 57 years; son Jon Stewart (Lara); daughter, Stephanie Smith (John Wayne); grandchildren Kyle Stewart, Ethan Smith, Drew Smith; sisters Mary Martin and Rose Warpool (Paul). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN, on Monday, January 16, from 4pm – 8pm, and Tuesday, January 17, from 10am – 11am. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11am in the Tulip Grove Room of the funeral home with Pastor D.J. Shoulders, officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Stewart will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
