Jim M. Bevans

BEVANS, Jim M., age 87 of Old Hickory, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Rachel Bevans; sons, Jim (Carol) Bevans, III, Fred M. (Kathy) Bevans, Bill (Cindy) Bevans and Ray (Tammy) Bevans; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Bevans served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Upon receiving his Masters in Education, he taught and coached at A & M Consolidated High School in Texas for 13 years. He was an Elder at Donelson Church of Christ and was retired from Culligan. Funeral services will be conducted Noon Monday, February 27, 2012 at Donelson Church of Christ with Brother Russ King officiating. Interment will be private for the family. Family and friends will serve as Active Pallbearers. The elders and Deacons of Donelson Church of Christ will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation with the family 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and 10:00 a.m. – Noon Monday at the Church.
