CRANDALL, Edmund B. Lt. Col. (Ret.)Of Nashville, Tennessee. Passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the age of 94. He served 28 years as a pilot in the U. S. Air Force. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Following his distinguished military career, he retired to Nashville in 1970 and worked as a Tax Assessor until 1995. He was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church for 55 years. Edmund was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded by his first wife of 60 years, Marge and second wife of two years, Nita. He is survived by his sons, Robert, wife Hank and Bruce, wife Charlie; daughter, Thea Bratton, husband, Keith; sister, Ruth Greaves; grandchildren, Sherri, Cliff, Joey, Jason, LeAnna, Justin, Mathew, Aimee; nephews, Ron and Paul Greaves and families; niece, Carrie Hands and family; 10 great-grandchildren and great nephews and nieces. Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 85 Fairway Dr., Donelson, TN on Sunday, July 8th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Philips beginning at 12 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2012. Edmund will be laid to rest with his wife, Marge at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
