Margaret Mary Reynolds Baxa Hendersonville, TN Age 92, passed away July 11, 2015. She served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a Teacher for 30 years at St. Bernadette School in Springfield, VA. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Community, American Association of University Women, the 1st President of the Civic Association in Springfield, VA and one of the founders of the Springfield Independent Newspaper in Virginia.Preceded in death by her husband, Edmund T. Baxa; son, Philip C. Baxa and great-grandson, Kavindra Mahadeo.Survived by her children, Lucretia Ann Baxa and Edmund T. Baxa, Jr. (Susan); daughter-in-law, Jay W. Baxa; grandchildren, Debra Mahadeo (Andy), Mara Wright, Danica Booth (Charles), Edmund T. Baxa III, Elizabeth Baxa, Emily Hogan (Nick) and Kathleen Baxa; great-grandchildren, Ireland Rose Mahadeo and William Reynolds Booth.A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, with Father Pat Kibby officiating, with burial at a later date in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Virginia.
