Marie P. Stanley

Marie is survived by her son, Robert Michael Stephens of Cincinnati, OH; her grandson, Andrew (Heather) Stephens of Cincinnati, OH; her granddaughter, Rachel Stephens of Martin, TN; her great-grandchildren Willa and Harvey Stephens of Cincinnati, OH; her siblings Juanita Haley of Kingston Springs, TN, Fay Martin of Mt. Juliet, TN, Fred Pipkin, Jr. of Stewart, TN, and Linda Wade of Enville, TN; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bobbie Dowl Stephens (divorced) and William Dean Stanley of Nashville, TN; parents Fred and Euda Pipkin of Old Hickory, TN.

Marie was born on January 25, 1930 in Old Hickory, TN to Fred and Euda (Steen) Pipkin. She pursued business and secretarial studies at Belmont College. She married William Dean Stanley in 1970 and moved to Hillwood, TN. Marie dedicated 25 years to Aladdin Synergetics as a Meeting Planner, Executive Administrative Assistant, and Personal Secretary to CEO/Owner Victor Johnson.

Marie was an accomplished baker and genealogist; her interests and work allowed her to travel extensively throughout Europe, North America, the Caribbean, and Asia. Marie was a generous and dedicated individual who loved her family and the musical arts.

She was an active and dedicated member of the Dupont High School Alumni Association (class of 1948), Meeting Planners International, Beta Sigma Phi, Executive Women International, American Heart Association (Director of Dearborn County Chapter; Meritorious Service), and the Nashville Area Meeting Planners International.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00AM on Saturday, July 27th at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation is on Friday, July 26th from 3:00PM – 7:00PM and 9:00AM on Saturday.
