Michael Scott Willoughby

Michael Scott Willoughby, age 55 of Nashville, TN, passed away at his home of natural causes on July 29, 2015. He is preceded in death by his brothers, David and Kenneth; grandparents, Frank and Geneva Willoughby, Woodrow Midkiff and Helen Trotter Midkiff Capra. He is survived by his parents, Joe & Barbara Willoughby; sister, Sherryl Ann Byrd.

Michael graduated from Mt. Juliet High School in 1978. He then served four years in the United States Navy. Michael went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992. Michael was a hunter and avid fisherman. His walls were adorned with deer heads, antlers and assorted large trophy fish. He loved collecting and learning about old coins. He was a true UT football fan and a NASCAR fan. Mike was a Baptist.

Visitation with the family will be 4:00 till 7:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2015 and 9:00 till 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Friends will serve as active pallbearers.
