Nancy Ann White Old Hickory, TN, Lakewood community, passed away on September 23, 2015 on her 87th birthday. She was the eldest of five children born to the late John and Velma Burch of Old Hickory. An accomplished swimmer, she attended DuPont High School and graduated from Peabody Demonstration School, Middle Tennessee State University and Peabody College. Nancy is a member of the Hermitage Church of Christ. She taught at the Tennessee School for the Blind until her retirement.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, Paul White; daughter, Katy White; brothers, John Burch, Charles Burch and Pat Burch. She is survived by her daughter, Gail White Collier (Hughbert); sons, David White (Pam) and Doug White; grandchildren, Aaron Collier (Amy), Nathan Collier (Kristin), Daniel Collier (Chelsea), Jimmy White (Bethany), Brittany Gann (Rod), Chris White and Jeff White; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Burch (Skippy).
A Funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
