Pedro is preceded in death by his father, Simon Galvez; his mother, Feliza DeLeon; and a brother, Francisco Galvez. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Julieta Galvez; children Sheila, Ranel “Ray” (Beverly), and Radney; grandchildren Chandler and Connor; and siblings Delores, David, Emiliano, Mathilde, and Filemon.
Pedro graduated from Ateneo de Davao for undergraduate study and later graduated from the University of Santo Thomas Medical School in 1968 in the Philippines. Pedro continued his decades-long medical career as a General Surgeon, Emergency Room Physician, and General Practitioner until his passing.
Pedro enjoyed a lifetime with family and friends where fellowship included eating out at his favorite restaurants and enjoying potluck get-togethers that would often last into the morning hours. As the nest became empty, Pedro had more love to give and decided to be a pet owner. He and Julieta watched over their succession of dogs (Caesar, Elvis, Presley, and Aaron) and cats (Pogi, Harley, and Lilly) while peacefully enjoying their lake view. Pedro also enjoyed the challenge of solving three-dimensional puzzles and brain teasers and playing the acoustic guitar.
Pedro was especially grateful for his family. Along with Julieta and despite his busy career as a physician, Pedro actively raised his three children by recording with his video camera the many sports games, birthday parties, school events, and graduations for his children and grandchildren.
