She was born on March 17, 1939.
Her parents were Walter Davis and Mae Willoughby Davis. She was born and raised on a small farm in the Trammel community located in western Allen County, KY. She was married to Larry Pardue in 1955. She is survived by her husband, Larry Pardue; daughter, Michelle Pardue of Hermitage, TN; granddaughters, Megan Sanders (Corey) of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Mollie Jones (Jordan) of Hermitage, TN; three great grandchildren, Leo Sanders, Victoria Sanders and Chloe Sanders.
She was a member of the Hermitage United Methodist Church.
During her working years she worked at several trucking companies and retired in 1989 from American Freight Systems. She played the piano and her favorite entertainers were Elvis, Tammy and George, Patsy and Alan. Her hobby was needlework of various kinds, and she produced some beautiful items.
Her favorite saying was, “I told you that wouldn’t work,” and she was usually right.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and also on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Graveside services will be at Hermitage Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 12:00 pm with Dr. Michael Vaughan officiating.
