Ralph D. Johnson, Sr. passed away at the age of 85 on March, 10, 2015. He was born in Cleveland, VA to Lucille and Walter Johnson. Ralph was a singer, songwriter, musician, radio DJ, casanova, author, producer and an entrepreneur. He never let his blindness hold him back from being adventurous and tenacious. He was a visionary who never let obstacles get in the way of his dreams. He is survived by Valerie Chilliri NJ, Ralph Johnson Jr. TN, Yvonne (Barry) Wolbeck MN, Teresa (Todd) Lemmons TN, and step-children Adolph Frank Smallwood MD, Anita Jakes MD, Son-n-laws Michael Rossiter Sr.PA and Stephen Moran MD. Twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and sister Doris Grizzle. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Marlene, Step daughter Regina and brother-in-law Spearl Grizzle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held 2 hours prior to the service.
