Richard was born on June 2, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Sylvia D. “Dean” Long and the late Joseph D. Long. He worked as a Printing Press Operator for several printing companies in the Nashville area. He enjoyed spending countless hours on the computer and listening to country music; He is known to be one of Hank Williams Jr.’s biggest fans. Richard’s priority was making sure his momma was taken care of despite his own battle with diabetes. He was a devoted son, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Long.
He is survived by his mother, Sylvia D. “Dean” Long; three siblings, Joe Long, Chuck Long and his wife, Dana, and Deanna Thomas; nieces and nephews, and several family members and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
