He was born in Cabarrus City, North Carolina. He served our country in the United States Navy. Mr. Jordan enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching Jeopardy and baseball, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ida Suzie Jordan; sons, Billy McKenzie Jordan and Robert L. Jordan, Jr.; and daughter, Debra Hawkins.
He is survived by his two stepsons, Jerry Brown and Eugene Brown; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jud Hays officiating.
Military Honors and Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
