Roberta S. Holderby

Roberta was born in Norwood, North Carolina. After college, she worked and retired from U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Her faith and family were most important to her. In her free time she enjoyed reading.

Roberta attended Norwood High School, (Norwood, North Carolina) graduating in 1955 with Honors and was Valedictorian of her class. She attended college at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, majoring in Math with a minor in English Studies. She graduated Salutatorian of the Class of 1959 from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert L. Holderby; son, Derrick Holderby; grandson, Patrick Holderby; granddaughter, Hannah Holderby; & loving niece, Tonja Hartley. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Holderby Jr.; parents, Roy and Dora Stogner; and her brother, Ervin Roy Stogner.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Friday, January 16, 2026 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Hastings, officiating. Following the service, Roberta will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
