Sue Robertson Booher, 89, formerly of Donelson, Tennessee, and most recently residing at Carrick Glen Senior Living in Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away on July 14, 2023.
Sue was a loving wife, mother, and Granny Sue. She loved babies, children, and friends. Sue enjoyed visiting with the customers of her husband’s home jewelry business. She cherished time spent with her family, particularly, her grandchildren, and she was greatly loved by family and many friends. Sue enjoyed passing along to her grandchildren her knowledge of cooking, baking, and growing flowers and vegetables. She was known for her gentleness, kindness, and faithfulness. Sue will be greatly missed by many.
She graduated high school from Trousdale County High School in Hartsville, TN. She studied at David Lipscomb College and graduated from Tennessee Technological College with a BS in Home Economics. She worked as a home economist for several companies and retired from H.G. Hill Food Stores. For over 50 years, Sue was a faithful member of the Donelson Church of Christ in Nashville, TN.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, G. Paul Booher; parents, Miller Crenshaw Robertson and Clara Eleanor Carman Robertson; siblings, Anne Marie Robertson and Billy Rhea Robertson; and her grandsons, James Daniel Booher and Christopher Paul Booher.
She is survived by her son, Gilbert Rhea Booher (Lisa); grandchildren, Adam Gilbert Booher (Amelia), Evan Michael Booher, and Anna Rose Booher; first cousin, Sandra Robertson Romer; nieces, Jeannie Booher Giese (Mark) and Julie Booher Smith; and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held in the Chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Russ King officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 24, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. and on Tuesday, July 25, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Sue will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Cross at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, with Adam Booher, Evan Booher, John Hammond, Justin Hammond, Jacob Hammond, and Mark Giese serving as pallbearers. The Celebration of Life service will be live-streamed, and you can view it on the Hermitage Funeral Home Facebook Page. (Note: The live-stream will only begin a few minutes prior to the beginning of the service.)
