Timothy Wayne Walter, age 49, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on November 6, 2022. Timothy Wayne Walter was born on February 5,1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. His early years were spent with family and friends, learning, playing and enjoying growing up. His high school years were filled with so many things. He was a good student, made the volleyball and lacrosse varsity teams in his freshman year, and continued playing lacrosse year 'round until he graduated. He also found music at this time. Tim started with the trumpet but quickly went to the guitar. Guitars and music became one his favorite pastimes. During his middle school years, he became a "bus boy" working with his Gams for the next 6 years. It was during this time that cooking became a hobby for him. After trying college for a year, he decided on culinary school. He graduated from the Baltimore Culinary Institute in 1995.
Tim's love for cooking took him into the restaurant business. He opened a southwest restaurant with two of his professors after graduating. He found that owning and working in restaurant business was quite time-consuming, especially at his young age, so he sold out to his partners and found his calling in sales.
After gaining the knowledge and skills in Maryland, he made his move to Tennessee. It was there that he found Heather, the love of his life. They were perfect for each other and his family was thrilled for both of them!!! They were married May 1, 2004.
Their new life started in Nashville but soon a job transfer took them back to Tim's home state of Maryland. There they connected with family and friends who enjoyed having them back in their lives. In 2011, Tim was once again transferred. This time it was back to Tennessee. Friends and family who had missed having them around were happy to welcome them back. It was at this time they found their "home on the lake." They quickly adjusted to water-living: enjoying boating, swimming, and parties on the lake.
Being in Nashville meant lots of music venues and concerts which Tim and Heather did on a regular basis. Tim was sometimes invited to join the groups playing downtown and showing off his guitar skills. He was still into his guitars and has accumulated an entire room of them. Anyone who knew Tim knew of his favorite football team: the Kansas City Chiefs. He and his brother spent many Sundays at the games together in Kansas, Tennessee, and Maryland. If they weren't together, they were on the phone discussing each and every play. Tim was passionate about charities. He spent many hours each year planning and executing charity events. That being said, no one was surprised when he decided to be an organ donor. His last gift was the gift of life to some on the transplant list. So, though he is gone, he is still living through them.
Tim is survived by his wife, Heather, his parents, Diane & Brian Walter, his brother Brian Jr, and niece, Brittany Walter, and two nephews Brian Walter III, and Luke Grantham. Tim also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends.
