She was born on July 26, 1958, in Hartford, the daughter of John Collins of S. Lyme and the late Claire Cornwall Collins.
Ann enjoyed painting and reading. She was an illustrator of children's books. She also formerly worked at the Humane Society.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her son Matthew Nickerson and his wife Noora and her daughter Colleen Nickerson, all of Old Lyme.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 4pm in St. Ann's Episcopal Church, 82 Shore Rd., Old Lyme. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Ann's Episcopal Church.
