

Hospital. Mrs. Eaton was born on April 22, 1911 in Dedham, MA the daughter of Hans Vogt and Mabel
Cassell Kudlich. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Eaton. She was an accomplished pianist
who received her classical training in Boston, MA., and taught piano for many years. Mrs. Eaton was
Director of the Ledyard Women’s Chorus and the choir at Gales Ferry Methodist Church. She enjoyed
gardening and flower arranging and was a founding member of the Ledyard Women’s Garden Club.
She loved all the Scottish Terriers who were her companions throughout most of her life. Mrs. Eaton is
survived by her son Anthony Vallentine of MA, her daughters Corinne Vallentine of Old Lyme and Joanna
Ewart of WA, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, Lynne Ford
and Sara Smithson, and two nieces, Ariana Eaton and Elizabeth Irwin. Services will be held at a later
date.
