John C. Roach

Mr. Roach was born on October 31, 1940 in Hartford, CT the son of John and Frances Cummings Roach. He married Ruth Dillon on September 21, 1985 in Christ the King Church in Old Lyme. He was as employed as Superintendent of Public Works for 16 years.

He started his professional career with The State of Connecticut Highway Department followed by several years with Machnik Brothers Construction, continued with Appleby and Cutone and continued until retirement with the Town of Old Lyme.

Mr. Roach is survived by his wife Ruth, his three brothers Christopher Roach and his wife Margaret of Troy, NY, Richard Roach and his wife Doris of Hollis, NH, and Robert Roach and his wife Maryann of Lyme, his four sisters Janet Roach and her husband Dr. Gordon Potts of Shelter Island, NY, Patricia Carlson of Old Lyme, Mary Roach of Troy, NY, and Elizabeth and her husband Robert Gentile of Old Lyme, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00am in Christ the King Church in Old Lyme. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 in the Lymes Senior Center, Town Woods Rd., Old Lyme, from 4:00PM to 9:00PM. Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
