Amelia Nocera Cart

She was born on December 29, 1937, in Middletown, the daughter of Frank Nocera and Jenny Faraci Nocera.

Amelia was the successful business owner of Highland Hall Manor and Briarcliff Manor Residential Care Facilities.

Amelia is survived by her daughters, Robin Ucich and her husband Stephen of Old Saybrook; and Jody Young and her husband Mark of Westbrook; brother Frank Nocera of Ivoryton; sister Violet DeLano of Westbrook; grandchildren Rebecca and Michaela Ucich and Devon and Alexandria Young. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law James DeLano.

Amelia lived most of her life in Essex, living her later years in Westbrook and Old Saybrook. Amelia's pride and joy was to spend time with her daughters and their families, particularly her grandchildren, taking them on many vacations!! Amelia will be greatly missed and happily remembered, especially for her over the top Christmas parties.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 20th from 4-7pm at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook.
