

Just after midnight, on March 26, 2014, and after a long illness, Barbara (Tesse) Bosnak, 81, of Old Saybrook Ct., peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on July 30, 1932 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown Ct. to the late Helen McQueeney and Otto Tesse; her Stepfather being the late, Erwin J. Puth.
Attending school through the Old Saybrook School system Barbara played drums in the High School band and briefly took flying lessons. Marrying John J. Bosnak Jr. in 1954, at St. John Catholic Church, Barbara was a stay-at-home Mother, till her daughter was old enough where she could go back into Factory work at various places throughout town.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Champion, her Granddaughter Kristen Champion, brother and sister-in-law George and Angela Bosnak, brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Donna Bosnak as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Middlesex Memorial Hospital and Gladeview Convalescent Hospital for their wonderful care and support during the time of her illness. Relatives and friends may join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11:00am at St. John Catholic Church Old Saybrook (Please meet at the Church). Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook. Swan's Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook is handling all arrangements.
