

Frederick W. Wysocki, age 82 of Old Saybrook, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at his home. Beloved husband of Norma Wysocki. He was born in New Haven, CT on September 28, 1932, son of Wallace and Louise (Maziarz Wysocki. He was a proud US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Fred moved to Old Saybrook in 1957 and retired from IBM in the Hamden office as a Field Engineer after 40 years. After his retirement he worked in the family business of Sound Inflatables, were he worked in repair, AKA "Gluemeister". He could be found there showing off his culinary skills by cooking breakfast and lunch, on many occasions.
Fred was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Old Saybrook for many years. He was an all around great dad with a good work ethic. He loved to horse around and cherished his grandchildren. Besides his wife of 60 years he is survived by his children. Frederick Wysocki and his wife Linda of East Haddam, Donna Rochette and her husband Bill, of Old Saybrook, Wayne Wysocki and his wife Janet of Old Saybrook, Philip Wysocki of Florence, Kentucky, Debra Morrow and her husband Colonel Craig Morrow of Belgium and Brian Wysocki and his wife Karen of Old Saybrook. He is also survived by his brother Thaddeus Wysocki and his wife Frances of North Haven and 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Fred is predeceased by his brother Daniel Wysocki.
Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, Wednesday, October 22, from 5-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 23, at 10 am, at St John Church, Main Street, Old Saybrook. Internment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Old Saybrook with military honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Old Saybrook Ambulance Association, Main Street, Old Saybrook.
