Born on August 1, 1933, in Middletown, Connecticut, Joyce grew up in the area and graduated from Meriden High School in 1951. It was there that she met the love of her life, Gay Siniscalco. Their high school romance blossomed into a beautiful partnership, and they shared 72 years of marriage filled with love and adventure.
Joyce was known for her kindness and creativity. She had a passion for designing and making pointed rugs for her family and friends, each one a unique work of art. She was also famous for her delicious pound cake and "Company Pie," a special peach ice cream pie that brought joy to everyone who tasted it.
A lifelong learner and adventurer, Joyce loved to read and travel. She and Gay explored the world together and spent time in both Naples, Florida, where they lived for 35 years, and Indiantown, Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Joyce was actively involved in her community, participating in the Meriden Mothers' Circle and the Mt. Carmel Society.
Family was at the center of Joyce's world. She cherished celebrating the holidays, giving to others, and traveling around New England to watch her grandchildren play sports. In retirement, she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, like sitting on the beach with friends and sharing treats with the neighborhood dogs she always had on her golf cart.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Sheridan Roberts and Irene Roberts LaMontagne. She is survived by her loving husband, Gay; her children, David Siniscalco and his wife Deborah, Lori Watts and her husband Whitney, Gaye Barnett and her husband Edward, and Bret Siniscalco and his wife Aideen. She also leaves behind her eleven grandchildren, Heather Ryder, Ashley Rohn, Lauren Pacelia, Courtney Russo, Whitney Watts, Alexander Watts, Tyler Barnett, Colin Barnett, Natalie Bosco, Zachary Siniscalco, and Anthony Karg, as well as 20 great-grandchildren.
Joyce will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
