She was born on August 20, 1962, in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of Francis and Yvonne Taverna.
She enjoyed spending time on her Boat and exploring the Florida Keys, and being with her friends, co-workers and Animals at the Mystic Aquarium.
Ruth is survived by her husband John; stepchildren Christopher and Rachel Cookson; siblings Paul, Steven, John and Sandy. She was predeceased by her siblings Christine, Francis, Patricia, and Thomas.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Patrick Parish, 71 Central St., Stoneham, MA Oct 8 at 12:00
