OLD TOWN - Albert Henry Dunn Jr., 87, died on July 26, 2018 at Eastern Maine Medical Center. He was born on December 21, 1930 in Milford, to Albert and Flora (Jenkins) Dunn. His step-mother Sadie (Jenkins) Dunn was an influential part of his life from a young age. Albert resided in Milford and Old Town the majority of his life. He served in the US Air Force in Japan during the Korean conflict. In 1988 he retired as accounting manager from the mill in Old Town where he had worked for over 25 years.
Albert was an honorable man with the kindest, most gentle heart. His greatest happiness came from giving to others and seeing the happiness of those around him. Together with Nancy, he built a family and a life filled with love, laughter, caring, and respect.
After retirement, Albert and Nancy enjoyed many adventures together, whether it was spending the winter in North Carolina or working the Christmas rush at LL Bean in Freeport, they would always seek new experiences. Right till the end, they would still take long rides and have picnics. Wonderful family memories were made at camp on Schoodic Lake, a camp Albert built himself and expanded over the years with help from Nancy, family and friends. He enjoyed those days at camp sitting on the deck, eating his peanuts and cheese, looking out at the peaceful lake with his dog Bear at his feet.
