

OLD TOWN—Edward H. Libby,89 , died December 10, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 19 1924 in Milford a son of DR Lewis S Libby and Aileene (Hobart) Libby.
Edward graduated from Old town High Scholl class of 1943. He served as a sergeant with the Air National Guard in Bangor, he was employed by Lawrence K Paine Dental Company, a meat cutter for Star beef bangor, was a medic on the Old Town Fire Dept, Owens-Illinois Division in Old Town, Pepsi Cola Brewer crossing guard, as well as others. He was a Master of the Blue Lodge and a member of Maine Shriners for over 60 years and was also part of the Shriners Drum and Bugle Corp were he played” TAPS” for the Black Camels List, and marched in many parades. He was a Free Mason Masonic member, he was also member of the Commandry, he also belonged to the Scottish Rites. . Edward loved the family camp in West Tremont, enjoyed family picnics, loved music and dancing. His sense of humor and his love of jokes will be missed by family and friends as well as his love of chocolate and always suckers to give the children.
Edward was predeceased by his wife Eleanor Anne (Linnenbuerger) Libby whom he married June 21, 1953; two brothers Simpson Libby and Roger Libby; and brother-in-law Samuel Broaddus. He is survived by a sister Marion Broaddus of Westbrook and brother Seth Libby and his wife Mary of Milford; He survived by his children Mark Libby and wife Susan of Bradford, Robert Libby and wife Rose of Peru, Susan Cleary and husband William of Old Town, David Libby and fiancé Tammy of Milford, Kirk Libby and significant other Michelle of Old Town, and Eric Libby and wife Lisa of Lakewales, FL; Grandchildren Elise Hutchins, Derek Boyington, Tiffany Libby, Justin Libby, Erica Libby, Shane “chum” Cleary, Nathan Libby, Zachary Libby;3 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; special friend Roxanne Demmons of Milford, many nieces and nephews;
Graveside services only will be held at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town on June 21st 2014 at 3:00 pm.
