

She was a member of the Epsilon Tau Epsilon Sorority at the Bangor Maine School of Commerce ( now known as Husson College) where she graduated in1946. She stayed on and worked the following year as the secretary to the founder, Chesley Husson.
She married the love of her life, F.L.”Bud” Nadeau in 1947 after he returned from wartime duty on the submarine USS Queenfish.Bud & Evelyn moved frequently in the early years from North Wayne to Lewiston, then East Millinocket and Old Town, finally to Milford, where they resided for the past 35 years. She worked as a teller at the Northeast Bank in the 70’s and then started the B &E Redemption with Bud, Old Town’s 1st bottle recycling center. .
She is survived by her 2 grandsons, Christopher Nadeau with wife Vanessa, of Goffstown, NH and Gregory Nadeau with wife Natalie of Merrimack, NH; Great grandchildren Georgia & Kai, daughter-in-law, Ruth of New Gloucester, ME; a niece, Gail Watkins; 2 nephews, Dale and Hugh Dinwiddie.

She was predeceased by her adored husband, Bud, in 2010. They had been married 62 years and a day never went by since his parting that she did not talk about missing him, so she rejoins him at last. She was also predeceased by her cherished only son, Larry; and her brother, Harold Kimball.
The family deeply appreciates the many people who have assisted in some way during these last years of Evelyn’s declining health, and give special thanks to long time,close friend/neighbors Mike & Kathy LaFontaine and her dear friend/primary caretaker, Leslie St .Louis.
A graveside service will be conducted 10AM Friday May 27, 2022 at the East Millinocket Cemetery
