Marion C. Miller

Alton – Marion C. Miller, 90, passed away on April 21, 2011, at a healthcare facility in Bangor. Marion was born on July 22, 1920, the daughter of Lester P. and Eva M. (Batchelder) Cole.

Marion was active in the Alton Methodist Church and helped cook and prepare their public suppers for many years. Family was always her first priority and very important to her. Marion especially enjoyed gardening and her plants.

Marion is survived by her daughter Mabel Foster and her husband Glenn; her son, Lester “Mickey” Goodwin and his significant other Sherril Burdin; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her long time friend and card partner, Joyce Ellis.

In addition to her parents, Marion is predeceased by her husband, Cecil; daughter Sherry Harriman; and sisters, Arlene Collins and Doris White.

A graveside service will be held at 10am, on Monday, April 25, at the Alton Cmetery, Rt. 16, Alton with Rev. Joyce Lovely officiating.
