INDIAN ISLAND—Quai Nicholas Love Sr., 44, following a period of failing health, died January 26, 2020 from complications of COPD. He was born March 5, 1975 in Bangor a son of Timothy and Eva (Ranco) Love.
Quai will be forever remembered for his warm and kind heart and his sense of humor. He was a very talented artist whose Native American drawings captured the beauty his eyes saw. He was also a talented musician, played guitar and sang. He enjoyed walking the shores, looking for some of life’s treasures. He was a true believer of the Great Spirit and had a deep connection with nature, especially his trees. He graduated from Old Town High School where he was the goalie for the state champion hockey team.
He is survived by his seven children Gabreill Fields-Love of Indian Island, Mikayla Love of Bangor, Quai Love Jr of Fredericton, NB, Canada, Macy Love of Eel Ground, NB, Canada and Akai Love Delaney Love and ChaiNa Love all of Milford; grandson Quinton Fields Love of Indian Island; father Tim Love of Bangor, mother Eva Love of Indian Island; four siblings Awani Love of Bangor, Keona Love Booker and her husband Matthew of Bangor, Samantha Foster and her husband Jake of Hampden and Seneca Love of Bangor; many extended family members. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Rita Ranco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday February 3, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island. A celebration of life reception will follow at the Sockalexis Arena, 16 Wabanaki Way, Indian Island.
