Ramona Caroline Gallant

Ramona worked at the University of Maine for many years in printing services where she made many life-long friends. She was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and spent many hours volunteering at the church. She was also an avid animal lover and provided a loving home to many pets throughout the years, including one special lab, Cleo.

Ramona is predeceased by her husband, Paul Gallant, her parents, 12 siblings, and son-in-law Kenneth Runnells Sr.

She is survived by seven children Terri Gallant, Tim Gallant and wife, Carrie, Tammy Runnells, Cindy Meservey and husband, Robert “Hodgie,” Andrea Gifford and husband, Eric, Lisa Gallant and partner, Eric Wood, and Andrew Gallant and wife, Lauren. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Paul Gallant, Shaun Gallant, Katelyn Adams, Kenneth Runnells Jr., Wade Runnells, Rebecca Kennedy, Miranda Gifford, Sara Gifford, Zackary Gallant, Griffin Gallant, Kahia Maheux, Katie Wood, Jordan Wood, and Victoria Wood, and 8 great-grandchildren; Logan Merservey, Gavin Adams, Ava Gallant, Audrey Gallant, Connor Gallant, Layla Gallant, Natalie Sabine and Ariana Runnells and a sister Patricia Kane.

A graveside service and burial for Ramona and Paul Gallant will be held at 10am on Tuesday, Sept 1, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Old Town. This would mark the 64th wedding anniversary for Paul and Ramona.
