OLD TOWN—Sharon L Lugdon, 70, died peacefully October 18, 2019 at a local nursing home surrounded by family. She was born February 11, 1949 in Bar Harbor a daughter of Wellington M. and Fedora J. (Moon) Salisbury.
Sharon was a devoted military wife and mother. As her husband’s career in the Army led them to many destinations, she was the constant to keep the children happy and content. She enjoyed working at her sister’s floral shop Always Flowers. When free time allowed, the camp at West Lake provided a peaceful getaway. She enjoyed TOPS, catalog and online shopping, crafts, crocheting and playing Bingo.
She is survived by two sons, David Lugdon of Bangor, Kevin and wife, Lorraine (MacLeod) Lugdon of Dedham, and one daughter, Leanne (Lugdon) Waters and husband, Billy Waters of Bradford. She was the proud grandmother of Hannah (Lugdon) Reuillard, Joshua and Tiana Lugdon and Cierra and Colby Waters; a great grandchild to be born; beloved sister and best friend Brenda Pyle of Hermon, two brothers James Salisbury and his wife Diana of Lagrange and Richard Salisbury of Canton. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene in 2014, and a brother-in-law Ernie Pyle.
Friends and family will gather 5-7PM Thursday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a funeral service will be conducted 10AM Friday. Following cremation, burial will be at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphange PO Box 565 Orono ME 04473
