Anne Douglas Warren

Anne Douglas Warren, 99, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 23, 1925, to R.L. and Donie Lee Douglas, Anne cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A devoted member of Minor Memorial United Methodist Church in Walls, MS, Anne's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Jack” Warren, her son, William “Bill” Warren, III, her grandson, William “Billy” Warren IV, her granddaughter, Brenda McCracken, and her parents, R.L. and Donie Lee Douglas. Anne leaves behind her son, Douglas Fitts Warren. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Christopher Douglas Warren, Jessica Warren Holmes, Leigh Hawkins, Jason Robert Warren, Lesley Warren McClain, and 6 great-grandchildren: Lexi Tutt, Whitney Warren, Adalyn Warren, Hailey Holmes, Zackery Allen McClain, and Gabe Morris. A funeral service will occur on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Minor Memorial United Methodist Church, 6120 Goodman Rd. Walls, MS 38680. Burial will follow at New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lakeland, TN. In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions in Anne's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
