I still cannot believe Barnard is no longer with us.  It seems like just yesterday, he was doing what he always did. . .working hard and being a good father and husband.  Those of us who worked with him will always remember him and miss him.  We will also always know how much he loved his wife and kids, and how proud he was of you all.  I feel like I know each and every one of you because he shared so much about you with me.  Losing him has been hard for all of us who knew him.  But it has reminded me to never take one single day for granted, and to always make sure my loved ones know how much they mean to me.  Goodbye, Friend! Save me a seat too!!!

To Barnard's Family,  

I regret not being able to be there at the viewing or funeral to remember Barnard with the rest of his friends and family.  I was a co-worker of Barnard's for years at the Memphis plant, and we worked together on many projects.  Barnard mentored me over the years, and I always had an affinity towards and respected Barnard.  We often swapped stories, and he was always so proud of his children.  I never had a chance to meet the rest of the Welch family, but I know enough to know they had a great father and husband.  He supported me through several difficult  times, and I'll never forget him.
