He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie C. and Elmer Ward, son, Brian Baldwin, Sisters Nellie Barbour, Joyce Clifton and Mary Lois Darnell, brothers Marvin Ward, Drew Ward and Percy Ward, 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise Ward; daughter Vicki Vercher and husband Ron, sons; Jackie Ward and wife Linda, Roger Ward and wife Sheryl, Jeff Ward and wife Michelle and Ben Ward and wife Brandi; 3 sisters Catherine Umberger, Loretta Winters and Maxine Flynn; 2 brothers Calvin Ward and Cletus Ward; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held from 5 p.m. until 8p.m Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 also at Brantley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Coldwater, MS.
