William “Bill” Sherrod Matthews, 73, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on May 13, 2026. Bill was born on September 22, 1952, in Washington, D.C., to the late Henry and Doris Matthews. He worked as a truck driver most of his adult life. He married Jane Taylor on December 6, 2003. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting tools, watching the Food Network, and drinking Coca-Cola. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stedman Matthews. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jane Taylor Matthews; step-daughter, Debbie Schmidt (David); step-daughter, Tina Ruble; grandchildren: Jeffrey Schmidt (Katelyn), Jonathan Schmidt (Kaela), and Shelby Allen (Jon); great-grandchildren: Aurora Allen, Beau Schmidt, Silas Schmidt, and Levi Allen; and sister-in-law, Judy Matthews. The family will receive friends for a visitation at Collierville Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 5-7 pm.
