Carolyn Ray Phillips

CAROLYN RAY PHILLIPS, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Monday,January 19, 2015. She was born on September 28, 1939 to her parents, the late Howard Priest and Nettie Peden Ray in Van Vleet, MS. Carolyn and Charles A Phillips were married on March 9, 1963 in Van Vleet, MS. He survives along with their daughters, Laura Phillips Armstrong (Richard) and Patricia Phillips Boshers (Mike) and five grandchildren: Michaela and Courtney Boshers and Stacie, Jakub and Raffael Armstrong. She graduated from Houston High School in Houston, MS and earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the Mississippi State College for Woman (the “W”). She retired from the Defense Logistics Agency after a career in the federal government. Carolyn was a Christian and worshiped at the Olive Branch Church of Christ. She was a member of the Chuquatongee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation will be from 5 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 22 at the Olive Branch Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Church of Christ or the charity of the donors choice.
